At the 34^th annual Maine Fishermen’s Forum held at the Samoset Resort in Rockport, nine scholarship winners were drawn from a pool of over 40 applicants.  Each applicant had to have an immediate family member involved in Maine’s seafood industry, and the funds were raised by donations and the Scholarship Benefit Auction held Friday, March 6, 2009.

     The winners will each receive a $2,000.00 scholarship, payable to their college or university.  The winners are:

     Scholarship checks will be issued after the current semester (in order to ensure that the current financial aid package will not be reassessed by the school).
