A
number of Industry-based surveys have been conducted over the last few years
for cod, yellowtail flounder, monkfish, sea scallops and other species. This
session discussed how these surveys were developed, their purpose, design
and implementation issues, and how the data are being used. The
participants presented their views on issues and lessons learned. What new
surveys should be developed in the future? How will future surveys
interface with the new R/V Bigelow?
