Mandatory Reporting for the Lobster Industry
How Will It Affect the Maine Lobster Fishery?
 

    
     The Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) has recently considered a range of options to establishing a mandatory reporting program for the lobster industry. With ASMFC’s passage of Addendum X, Maine lobstermen and the Department of Marine Resources must come into compliance with new reporting requirements by January 2008. This seminar focused on understanding what new requirements are, how they will affect Maine lobstermen and dealers, and how DMR plans to move forward with implementing these new requirements.
