Downeast Groundfish Initiative
A Pilot Project to Rebuild a Fishery
 

    
     This session presented an update on the Downeast Initiative, which is a project designed to rebuild the Groundfish fisheries in eastern Maine. Currently in the early stages of planning, this was a chance to hear what this project is and what it is not. The Initiative is currently working with the broad- based Area Management Coalition to have area management approval as a way to manage groundfish throughout New England.
