Where Are We Going With Groundfish Management?
 

     
     We’re nearly three years in to groundfish management under Amendment 13.  We’ve got (1) MSFCMA changes pending in Congress; (2) some 42 frameworks, and (3) a GARM report that states we’ve much work to do, and (4) many other significant issues such as habitat and bycatch management.    Is Maine and its fishing community improved by Amendment 13 measures?  How about the rest of New England’s fishing communities?  This session took stock of where we are with groundfish management and whether the current course is right for the future.
