Downeast Initiative: An Update
 

    
     The goal of the Downeast Initiative is to (1) provide Downeast communities with access to the groundfish resources in the eastern Gulf of Maine and (2) develop a pilot program employing finer scale, local co-management.  In the last year the Initiative has built the foundation for a revised approach.  This seminar was intended as an informal update on the activities of last year.
