MLA Annual Meeting
 

     The Maine Lobstermen's Association announced its 51st Annual Meeting.  All MLA members and families  were strongly encouraged to attend.  The agenda included updates on pressing issues, priorities for the upcoming year and election of Directors.  Commissioner George LaPointe addressed the membership with an update on the DMR's ongoing discussion with the lobster industry on effort reduction.  They also presented the results from the MLA's recent membership and legislative surveys.  There was a free membership raffle for the 2004 V-notch survey participants and door prizes for members who were present.
