Ecosystem Based Management
 

     “Ecosystem-Based Management” is coming. What will it actually mean for us in the Gulf of Maine and how can fishermen contribute to the development of ecosystem-based approaches to management? Fishermen and scientists from ME, NH, and MA who have been meeting to discuss fisheries-ecosystems relationships presented draft versions of ‘ecosystems illustrations’, diagrams and maps to spark discussion. Most of the sessions were roundtable for feedback and discussion. The feedback will be used to refine the information products we’re putting together for managers and decision-makers
