For
two years, Britt-Lena Lasko interviewed and photographed over twenty women
who work in the Maine Fishing Industry. Her work, featured in the Bowdoin
College symposium, “Women and Water: A Celebration of Women’s Relationships
to the Maine Coast,” boldly documents an endangered way of life unique to
the coast of Maine. She is the first person to complete such a study,
through extensive photographs and recorded oral testimonies
