Fishermen's Perspectives on Cooperative Research:
Results and Impacts of Gear Design and Biological Research
 

     Fishermen panelist presented projects and findings from three cooperative research projects.  The presenters discussed what they proposed to do; how they did it, what findings did they get, and what impact will it have?  Fishermen had examples of their gear, equipment modifications, and research equipment.  Following the fishermen panelists, results from a survey on attitudes and perceptions about cooperative research among commercial fishermen were used to facilitate a group discussion about the impacts of cooperative research.
