The
Friday night Scholarship Benefit Auction provides funds for kids from Maine’s fishing
families – we have given out over $209,000.00 in scholarships since 1998!
The number of scholarships we can give out depends entirely on the Auction
results – with your generous donations, we hope to give away more than 10
scholarships!
At the 2011
Maine
Fishermen’s Forum, over $19,000 was raised, and with additional cash
donations, we were able to award 21 Scholarships!
Anything that you would like to donate to the Auction
would be greatly appreciated, and as the Maine Fishermen’s Forum is a
nonprofit organization – it’s tax deductible!
The annual scholarship auction will be held on Friday night, March
2nd.
Registration and preview starts at 7:15 p.m. Dennis Damon will be the
Auctioneer and all the money raised will be given out in student
scholarships on Saturday night.
Everyone must register in order to participate.
It is the bidder's responsibility to inspect items prior to the auction.
When you register, you will receive a bidders card. If you are the highest
bidder, the item is yours. You may pay for the item any time during the
auction. If you are planning to bid on more then one item, you may wait and
pay for them all at one time. Payment must be made on Friday evening by
cash, personal check, American Express, Visa or MasterCard. When you pay,
you will get a receipt which you will take to the pick-up area where an
auction volunteer will get your item.
ALL ITEMS MUST BE REMOVED FROM
THE AUCTION ROOM IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE AUCTION. Neither the Samoset nor
the Forum will be responsible for items left in the auction room Friday
night.
